Thoughts for the Season
– “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end.”
What a relief that He still shoulders the responsibility! Our
responsibility is to respond to His ability to govern. On earth we are faced with uncertainty on every side and a huge cultural shift
in the global society economically, politically and socially. What a joy
it is to declare,
“The Lord sits enthroned over the flood; the Lord is enthroned as King forever. The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace.” Psalm 29.10-11.
In a world of much talk and little resolution how marvelous to be able to ask the Wonderful Counselor what He thinks. With a desperate need to belong and find acceptance we are privileged to access a Father who will always be our Abba–everlasting…
“The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel – which means ‘God with us.’” Matthew 1.23.
Smith Wigglesworth said, ”to hunger and thirst after righteousness is when nothing on earth fascinates us like being near God.”
God-consciousness is critical; worship is more than just songs. Rather, it is the grace to face the issues of our lives conscious of the presence of God, His peace the umpire deciding "what’s in" and "what’s out!"
Rule our King and bring…”Glory to god in the highest, and earth peace to men on whom his favor rests.”
Me too please…

|Waiting on the Lord|
|Waiting on the Lord is a practice of silence before the Lord that lifts us to hear and see from his perspective so that we may once again be set amongst the everyday with a freshness that enables us to go and do as He would entrust.
